The Loving Sagittarius

Hello girls and boys ~ Welcome!

Today, let’s explore the heated and complex heart of The Sag…

Besides the Archer, the Centaur—half human, half horse—is the other symbol of Sagittarius. It reflects their dual personality ~ at the same time they are wise & knowledgeable, adaptable & patient, they can also be free-spirited & feisty, and tenacious & excitable. This duality can be a challenge for someone trying to get to know a Sagittarius.

Sagittarius is an intellectual being ~ always thinking outside the box. They are curious and intuitive. In keeping with the hunter aspect of their sign, Sagittarius can change their tactic in any given situation, and always has a back-up plan. These qualities will keep their partner on his or her toes!

As we talked about before, the Sag very much represents their element of Fire ~ passionate, mischievous, and sometimes overly friendly. Often this friendliness can be misunderstood for flirtation! Awkward..

Ever the knowledge seeker, Sagittarius is often open to suggestions and constructive criticisms. Self-improvement is a life-long love. Not only does the Sag like to improve himself, he likes to give input to help others improve. I’m sure you can imagine how many pitfalls on the road to relationship this can cause..

The Sag is a wanderer and an explorer. They love foreign languages, food, and philosophy. They can go crazy trying to understand different cultures and traditions but will enjoy how strongly it holds their interest. This might be exhausting for less hearty signs.

Details are Sagittarius’ Kryptonite. While the Sag is bursting with ideas, and can easily see the big picture, he can and most times will, get lost in the details. They will overwhelm him, and he will lose interest. Note to those dating Sags: handle the details!  😛

Because of Sagittarius’ passionate, inclusive, and wandering nature, he’s likely to have many romances in his life. Here are the signs he’s most compatible with, not at all compatible with, and those that he’ll show a good time:

In love…

Leo: The Lion

The Lion is one of, if not THE, most compatible sign for Sagittarius. Both are adventurous and outgoing, with a healthy appetite for freedom, knowledge and sex! Both are social and friendly. Sagittarius excites and motivates Leo, while the Lion encourages faithfulness in the flirty Archer.

Aries: The Ram

The Ram is another great match for the Centaur. Like Leo and Sagittarius, Aries is a fire sign, and ANY time you mix fire with fire, well, you can imagine.. Aries and Sagittarius both love being social and active. Aries is fun enough to hold the Sag’s attention, and strong enough to keep her moodiness in check without making her feel caged.

Aquarius: The Water Bearer

What happens when a fire’s flames are fanned by air? You got it! Lots of heat, lots of sparks. This is a HOT union, and quite complimentary. Aquarius demands just as much freedom for herself as Sagittarius does for himself, which allows both to remain comfortable within the relationship. Their heat will always draw them back together, and their love of knowledge will forever keep them entertained outside of the bedroom. Or, inside

In lust…

Sagittarius is fun-loving, and always, um, up for a good time. Here are the signs that, while perhaps not love-matches, can certainly get hot and steamy:

Scorpio: The Scorpion

The Scorpion and the Archer can have one helluva HOT encounter, but Scorpio’s intensity and desire to stay put will dampen Sagittarius’ inspiration and need to roam.

Pisces: The Fish

Is it warm in here, or is it just me? There’s all kinds of fireworks going off around these two! However, Pisces is much too sensitive for Sagittarius’ blunt honesty, and Sagittarius is too energetic to meet Pisces’ emotional needs.

Taurus: The Bull

These two are night and day, black and white. In fact, the ONLY thing the Bull and the Centaur have in common is what turns them on in the bedroom. A lasting relationship this does not make!

Not so much…

Virgo: The Virgin

These two are polar opposites in every way. The earthy Virgo is hard-working, focused and industrious. While Sagittarius can find these qualities admirable ~ it’s only from a distance! Noble and modest, Virgo doesn’t understand Sagittarius’ feisty passion and can even find it offensive.

Cancer: The Crab

The Crab is all about home and hearth, and this makes the Archer itch! Sagittarius wants to roam and explore, and Cancer wants to stay home and put down roots. Cancer lives for the future while Sagittarius is always in the moment. Cancer can become jealous by the Sag’s free-spirited nature, and Sagittarius can find Cancer quite boring.

Capricorn: The Goat

Another earth sign, the Goat is ambitious and determined. Much like his friend, Virgo, Capricorn is hard-working, and thinks nothing of working late into the night to suit his own agenda. This feels restrictive and confining to the Sag. In fact, the Goat’s very earthiness may well smother the Sag’s flame.

So talk to me. What do you think about these unions? Are you a Sagittarius that has experienced life and love with one of the signs above? What about other signs? Please share!

Next up, Capricorn…
